Writer's Retreat - a novel
In Writer's Retreat, Andy McConnell sets out to journal his own life experiences when he learns he will soon become a grandfather. Not a writer by nature, he finds the act of distilling his life down to under a hundred pages both daunting and liberating.

Seeking inspiration, Andy travels back to a familiar destination to find the conclusion to his memoir. Through flashbacks and memories, he reflects on his own tragedies and triumphs as he struggles to create a family history and his own legacy to share with his future granddaughter.Â

The result of his journey is not just the story of a life he will share but the gift of self-discovery he receives along the way.
"A gorgeously rendered, thoughtful exploration of looking back on a life and making peace with the present. Ingersoll's story will bring you to tears and leave you satisfied."

--Mari Matthias, author of Cleah's Bequest
